Shannon LaRue is an artist living and working in NYC. As New Humanisms Press, she has published three small editions of her own work. The coming years anticipate collaborating with and publishing for other artists. The content of her work is primarily genre-defying writing and photography, incorporating various subject matter and photographic mediums. Opening a book of hers feels like entering her room when she isn't there. She's left things in a certain way, in hopes of guiding you through her absence, but you're in control. These are gifts and love letters to everyone but you, and still you read on.
Shannon's work has been shown at School 33 and Current Gallery in Baltimore, the Philly Art Book Fair, Saint Lucy (online), and at the Fully Booked Art Fair in Dubai.
